Opera.dir Editor 1.0 beta 3 Program allows managing Opera.dir file (typed URLs in address field) of Opera Browser. ------------------------------- Recommendations for usage: * At the first start program defines path to Opera.dir file, and further uses it (the file can be specified / opened later manually from the main menu). * The best way to work with the program is when Opera is closed. * For convenient use, you can place the program in a folder with Opera and/or run it from Opera’s context menu - automatic integration will be added later. ------------------------------- Common Features: * Deleting of selected/all addresses. * Deleting of duplicates addresses. * Moving of the selected addresses upwards / downwards. * Copying the selected addresses. * Go to selected addresses (by double clicking or ENTER key). * Search and replacement in addresses. * Export of the selected addresses to Opera bookmarks. ------------------------------- Supported Hot Keys: F1 = Shows dialog "About program". F5 = Update the list of addresses. DEL = Removes selected addresses. SHIFT DEL = Removes all duplicates. SHIFT UP = Move selected addresses upwards. SHIFT DOWN = Move selected addresses downwards. ENTER = Go to selected addresses. CTRL A = Select all addresses. CTRL C = Copy selected addresses to clipboard. CTRL H = Shows “Find and Replace” dialog. CTRL B = Shows adding selected addresses to Opera bookmarks dialog. CTRL T = Shows "Tip of day" message. --------------------------------------- Current restriction / known problems: * The amount of addresses which can be contained in the list is limited near by 4 thousand (4000) - but I do not think that someone will have such amount of addresses in this file ;). * Each line will be reduced up to 4090 symbols (if longer line will be found). * When making replacement of the text, displaying-mistakes related to non standard (non-Latin) symbols sometimes can arise. * For changes take affect, it required Opera restart; unfortunately, this is restriction of the browser. * Favicons are not always displayed correctly - this is caused by the fact that sometimes in images folder there are identical names of files with different files extensions. * Also if Favicons has extension *.png or *.gif, it can not be displayed for address item, instead of this, the icon of empty (new) page will be displayed. --------------------------------------- Theoreticly this program is working under following Platform: Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP/Vista (Tested on Win XP) ============================================== Copyright © 2006-2007 CreatoR's Lab (G.Sandler).
